Softball Recap: Comer Takes a Loss

Comer lost against Winterboro back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Lacey Liner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Harrison, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Comer has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Winterboro, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-21.

Comer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winterboro, they will head out to face off against Childersburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
