Helix waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the University City Centurions get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Highlanders have posted since March 10th.

Helix saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Johnson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Helix now has a winning record of 7-6. As for University City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helix will take on Granite Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Highlanders 3.2, the Eagles 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for University City, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
