Male is a perfect 3-0 against Madison Central since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Male is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Assumption, who was ranked sixth at the time (Male was ranked 13th). The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockets on Wednesday, sneaking past 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kaylee Brooks was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kaden Nelson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Madison Central came out on top against Frederick Douglass on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Broncos 7-6. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won four matches in a row.
The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Guilbault, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Lina Guerra was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI.
Male pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Madison Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Male hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. However, it's not like Madison Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Male's way against Madison Central when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Male made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
