Basketball Game Preview: Lee Christian Falcons vs. Shining Light Academy Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Lee Christian Falcons will get right back to it and host the Shining Light Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lee Christian will bounce into Friday's contest after beating New Garden Friends, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Lee Christian snuck past New Garden Friends with a 60-56 win on Thursday.

Lee Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Brown, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Rumbold, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 15 points.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Shining Light Academy on Monday. They walked away with a 73-64 win over Chatham HomeSchool. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Shining Light Academy's win came from a few key players Lee Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alex Lash, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Jordan Hill was another key player, going 7 of 13 en route to 20 points.

Lee Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Shining Light Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Lee Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.6 points per game. However, it's not like Shining Light Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 64.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.

Lee Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Shining Light Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 65-53. Does Lee Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shining Light Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
