Basketball Recap: North Farmington Takes a Loss

North Farmington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 63-21 loss at the hands of the Avondale Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-23 back in January.

Avondale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Mcpherson, who went 8 of 16 en route to 23 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Mcpherson a new career-high in blocks (two). Sasha McClellan was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to ten boards and eight assists.

North Farmington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Avondale, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

North Farmington will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hazel Park at 7:00 p.m. As for Avondale, they will head out to challenge Berkley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
