Softball Recap: Santa Clara Comes Up Short

Santa Clara lost against St. Bonaventure back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saints fell 8-4 to the Seraphs.

Tahli Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. Bonaventure, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Santa Clara will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop Diego at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for St. Bonaventure, they will be taking part in a tournament against Oxnard at 11:45 a.m. on the 24th.
