Softball Recap: Gordon Central Victorious

Gordon Central's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Darlington Tigers by a score of 10-7. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Kaylynn Thigpen, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Phipps, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Gordon Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gordon Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Darlington, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
