Basketball Game Preview: Shields Panthers vs. Brantley Bulldogs

Shields hasn't had much luck against Brantley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Shields Panthers will face off against the Brantley Bulldogs. Shields is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.

Shields is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Georgiana, sneaking past 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Shields has posted since December 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, Brantley didn't have too much trouble with Southern Choctaw on Tuesday as they won 64-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Shields better keep an eye on Jayden Parks. He was instrumental in Brantley's win, going 8-for-19 on his way to 30 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. The match was Parks' ninth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jon Kilcrease, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Shields' record now sits at 15-5. As for Brantley, their record is now 22-4.

Shields took a serious blow against Brantley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 93-65. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Parks, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and 12 assists.
