Basketball Recap: Black River Takes a Loss

Black River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Wellington Dukes and fell 59-23. The Pirates were probably out for revenge after losing 60-22 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Black River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wellington, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Black River and Firelands will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wellington will take on Brookside in a holiday battle at at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
