Baseball Recap: West Union Comes Up Short

West Union lost against East Union last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles came up short against the Urchins, falling 10-4. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly six runs.

Jon Grey Morrisson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Jaxon Herod was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for West Union and nudges their season record down to 11-13. As for East Union, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.

Coming up, West Union will be playing at home against Itawamba Agricultural at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Union, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mooreville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
