Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Ramona's 14th in Last 16 Outings

Ramona won the last time they faced Rubidoux, and Troy Terrell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Ramona Rams secured a 79-74 W over the Rubidoux Falcons on Monday thanks in part to Terrell, who posted 29 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Troy Long was another key player, putting up eight points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Ramona is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Rubidoux, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ramona will venture away from home to challenge Patriot at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Ramona's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests. As for Rubidoux, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Rubidoux Falcons challenge the La Sierra Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rubidoux knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully La Sierra likes a good challenge.
