Baseball Game Preview: Dierks Outlaws vs. Bismarck Lions

The Dierks Outlaws are taking a road trip to challenge the Bismarck Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dierks comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Dierks lost 16-1 to Murfreesboro on Monday. The contest marked the Outlaws' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Maclane Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bismarck's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bauxite.

Bismarck's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Dierks, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Dierks couldn't quite get it done against Bismarck in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can Dierks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
