Having just played yesterday, the Thomas Stone Cougars will get right back to it and host the Great Mills Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Thomas Stone is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 65 points on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Lake Clifton on Thursday. They took a 48-29 bruising from the Lakers. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Great Mills entered their matchup against Westlake on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Great Mills took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westlake. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hornets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Wolverines are ranked 224th).

Thomas Stone has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Great Mills, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
