Football Game Preview: Briar Woods Falcons vs. Lightridge Bolts + How To Watch

The Briar Woods Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Lightridge Bolts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Briar Woods is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

While Briar Woods' win against Freedom wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 24-21.

Briar Woods can attribute much of their success to Brooks Randolph, who threw for 158 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 46 yards. Javon Wade was in the mix too, providing the Falcons with one score.

Meanwhile, Lightridge fell victim to Stone Bridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 57-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Bolts were not able to get on the board.

Lightridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Briar Woods, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Briar Woods took their victory against Lightridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 32-12 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bolts' Jeremiah Pettiford, who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.
