Genoa Area is 9-0-1 against Rossford since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Genoa Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Genoa Area's last matchup with Oak Harbor could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Comets came up short against the Rockets, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Comets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Genoa Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Bronowski, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rossford lost 15-4 to Liberty Center on Saturday.

Rossford now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went Genoa Area's way against Rossford in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Genoa Area made off with a 15-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
