After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Augustine, Point Loma was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Scripps Ranch Falcons 8-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pointers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Point Loma got a great performance from Marviel Underwood as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Underwood has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Druw Frost was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Olson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Point Loma's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-8-1. As for Scripps Ranch, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17.

Point Loma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
