Basketball Recap: Rice Lake Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rice Lake can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 43-42 to the Rhinelander Hodags. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hodags apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Rice Lake has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. The win (which was Rhinelander's eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

As of now, neither Rice Lake nor Rhinelander have any future games scheduled.
