Basketball Recap: Greater Cabarrus S Takes a Loss

Greater Cabarrus S was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stallions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-30 back in December of 2024.

Forsyth Home Educators' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lindsay Redmon, who posted 14 points and five boards. Redmon continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Baleigh Johnson was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Greater Cabarrus S's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Forsyth Home Educators, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.

Greater Cabarrus S didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-37 loss against Surry HomeSchool on the 31st. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they will welcome NC H at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Forsyth Home Educators is facing NC H at the right time seeing as NC H is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
