Basketball Recap: Dieterich Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Dieterich and Altamont squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Dieterich had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Altamont Indians by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Movin Maroons have suffered since December 9, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Dieterich lost, don't look at Kady Tegler. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-11 to rack up 16 points and four steals. Tegler has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Miller, who posted 11 points and three blocks.

Dieterich's loss dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Altamont, their win bumped their record up to 13-18.

Dieterich does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Altamont, they will challenge St. Anthony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Anthony's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
