Watseka hadn't done well against Milford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Warriors walked away with an 8-4 win over the Bearcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Tyler Waugh, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Quinn Starkey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Watseka's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.

Coming up, Watseka will face off against Cissna Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Milford, they will square off against Herscher at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
