It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Covington can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Slidell Tigers on Saturday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-8.

Slidell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Kate Spilling, who had 16 digs and two aces. Spilling is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lillian Simpson, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 17-23. As for Slidell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Covington nor Slidell have any future games scheduled.
