Baseball Recap: Scott Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Scott waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bishop Brossart Mustangs, sneaking past 3-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Scott's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Pulsfort, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Scott's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 4.14 runs across that stretch. As for Bishop Brossart, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Scott will head out on the road to face off against Highlands at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Bluebirds have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Bishop Brossart, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Harrison County at 5:15 p.m. The Thorobreds/Fillies will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
