Baseball Recap: Beckville Wins Going Away Against Mcleod

Beckville extended their postseason success on Thursday against McLeod. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Longhorns. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Baker Seegers was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Aiden Harris was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lambright, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Beckville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for McLeod, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12.

As of now, neither Beckville nor the Longhorns have any future games scheduled.
