Softball Game Preview: Banquete Bulldogs vs. London Pirates

The Banquete Bulldogs will face off against the London Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Banquete has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Banquete's offense. They came up short against Bishop on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Badgers: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, London beat Rockport-Fulton 7-2 last Tuesday.

London has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. Banquete's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Banquete might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from London in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Banquete avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
