Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Northern Garrett walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Clear Spring Blazers on Wednesday. Considering Northern Garrett have won seven matches by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Clear Spring with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abby Nelson (4), Kennedy Fickes (2), Ainsley McHenry-Sorber (2), and Jenna Bowser.

Northern Garrett is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those nine matchups. As for Clear Spring, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
