Basketball Recap: Matthew Gladden Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lucy Beckham

James Island won the last time they faced Lucy Beckham and things went their way on Tuesday too. The James Island Trojans enjoyed a cozy 49-35 victory over the Lucy Beckham Bengals.

James Island's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Gladden, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Ward, who posted six points and eight assists.

James Island was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
