Baseball Recap: Oasis Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Oasis was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against Imagine School at North Port, falling 13-1. If Oasis was looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to Imagine School at North Port when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oasis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Bonagura, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Bonagura a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Oasis hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Oasis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Imagine School at North Port, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Oasis will be playing in front of their home fans against Gateway Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give Oasis their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Imagine School at North Port, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Venice on the 29th.
