 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marion can now relate to. They lost  9-1 to the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles on Monday. It was the first time  this season that Marion let down their fans at home.
 For Gray Collegiate Academy's part,  Peyton Hendrix made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   nine  hits (and only one walk). Hendrix has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Hendrix was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Aspen Boulware was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs.  Shields Greene was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Marion's loss  ended  a  14-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 22-3. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, the  victory (which was their 23rd in a row) raised their record to 32-2.
 As of now, neither Marion nor Gray Collegiate Academy have any future games scheduled.
