Softball Game Preview: Brush Arcs vs. Euclid Panthers

The Brush Arcs will challenge the Euclid Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Brush knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Euclid likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Brush made easy work of Andrews Osborne Academy and carried off a 21-8 victory. The Arcs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Lorain hit Euclid with a nine-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-8 to the Titans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brush pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.8 runs over those games. As for Euclid, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
