Basketball Recap: Enterprise Hornets vs. Foothill Cougars

Enterprise was the 48-35 winner over Foothill when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Enterprise Hornets took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foothill Cougars on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Enterprise saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Timothy Scheel dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scheel has scored all season. Justus Williams also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trace Farrelly, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Matt Poulsen, who went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points and six rebounds.

Enterprise has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Foothill, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Enterprise didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-64 defeat against Chico on the 23rd. Foothill has also already played their next game, a 47-43 loss against Pleasant Valley on the 23rd.
