After a string of ten wins, Mesa Verde's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Vacaville Christian Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mavericks have suffered since March 24th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-21.

Mathew Garcia paced Mesa Verde's offense, picking up six kills. Garcia got some help from Vernon Stahl and his 13 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Christian Gomez, who had nine digs.

Mesa Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Vacaville Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Mesa Verde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lindhurst on the 10th.
