Volleyball Recap: Geneseo Takes a Loss

Geneseo's tournament run continued when they took on Rochester on Saturday. The Maple Leafs fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1. The Maple Leafs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Geneseo's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Rochester, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Geneseo and Rochester should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Maple Leafs will challenge East Moline United at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (87 vs. 260). Meanwhile, Rochester (ranked 50th) will meet Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (ranked 144th) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
