Basketball Recap: Maple Grove Takes a Loss

Maple Grove played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 66-32 loss at the hands of the Frewsburg Bears. The Red Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-21.

Frewsburg found their leader in sophomore Jadyn Trocki, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten assists. Trocki is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Teghan Trocki, who shot 75% from the field en route to 17 points.

Maple Grove has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. Frewsburg pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

As of now, neither Maple Grove nor Frewsburg have any future games scheduled.
