Softball Game Preview: Hueneme Vikings vs. Fillmore Flashes

Hueneme hasn't had much luck against Fillmore recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will square off against the Flashes at 3:30 p.m. Hueneme has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hueneme is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Santa Barbara, falling 14-6.

Hueneme saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaucelynn Ayala, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Roxanna Silva was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Fillmore fell victim to Pacifica and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tritons.

Fillmore's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hueneme, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Hueneme couldn't quite get it done against Fillmore in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 11-7. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
