Basketball Recap: Astoria Comes Up Short

Astoria lost against St. Helens on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Astoria Fishermen might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 48-46 to the St. Helens Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Fishermen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Astoria's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for St. Helens, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

Coming up, Astoria will venture away from home to challenge Valley Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Catholic will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Astoria surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Helens, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tillamook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
