Basketball Recap: Orchard View Comes Up Short

Orchard View lost against Potter's House Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Orchard View Cardinals took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Potter's House Christian Pumas. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Potter's House Christian to victory were Logan Sicilia and Ezekiel VerWys. Sicilia went 9 for 17 en route to 23 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while VerWys almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave VerWys a new career-high in steals (six). Caleb DeMoor-Tannor was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Orchard View's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Potter's House Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Orchard View will welcome Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Orchard View likes a good challenge. As for Potter's House Christian, they will head out to take on Western Michigan Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
