Springs Valley had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Orleans Bulldogs 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

Tanner Hall was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Manny Pantoja was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Springs Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Orleans, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Springs Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Rock Creek Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blackhawks are on a five-game streak of home losses, and the Lions an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. As for Orleans, they will take on Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Jug Rox at the right time seeing as the Jug Rox are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
