Baseball Game Preview: Monroe Central Golden Bears vs. Richmond Red Devils

The Monroe Central Golden Bears will square off against the Richmond Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monroe Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Elwood hit Monroe Central with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-8. Richmond's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Monroe Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. It's a different story for Richmond, though, as they've only averaged .223. Will they be able to contain Monroe Central's hitters?
