Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Longwood). They snuck past the William Floyd Colonials with a 61-57 victory on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-44 back in December of 2024.

Several Colonials players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Milania Farrow, who posted 16 points and three steals. Savannah Pantry was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Longwood's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for William Floyd, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Longwood Lions take on the Walt Whitman Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for William Floyd, they will head out on the road to face off against Brentwood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
