Basketball Game Preview: Miami East Vikings vs. Troy Christian Eagles

The Miami East Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Troy Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Miami East came up short against Russia on Saturday, falling 64-41. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Raiders are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, Troy Christian waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Indians 58-55.

Troy Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Miami East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Miami East strolled past Troy Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 37-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miami East since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
