Soccer Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Gautier Gators, falling 4-0. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in December of 2024.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Gautier, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2-1.

Laurel will host Wayne County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gautier, they will face off against Vancleave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gautier is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
