The Lake Forest Scouts are taking a road trip to face off against the Crystal Lake Central Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lake Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Lake Forest didn't have quite enough to beat Wauconda and fell 10-8. The Scouts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Forest got a good showing from Nate Uhart, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Jack Lamberti was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Stephen Cole, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, while Crystal Lake Central put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Lakes. The Tigers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-0.

The win got Crystal Lake Central back to even at 4-4-1. As for Lake Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything went Lake Forest's way against Crystal Lake Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Lake Forest made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scouts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
