Basketball Recap: Penn Cambria Gets the Win

If Conemaugh Township wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Penn Cambria, they should've done a better job of containing Brandon Rabish. The Penn Cambria Panthers put the hurt on the Conemaugh Township Indians with a sharp 71-48 win on Saturday thanks in part to Rabish, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Lilly, who posted four points along with 12 assists and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Despite the loss, Conemaugh Township still got an impressive performance from Colin Dinyar, who went 10 of 17 on his way to 25 points and eight rebounds. Dinyar has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Ethan Matera was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

The victory got Penn Cambria back to even at 2-2. As for Conemaugh Township, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Penn Cambria will take on Central Cambria in a tournament on Monday. Conemaugh Township will take on Cambria Heights in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
