Basketball Recap: Mcdonough's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only McDonough walked away with it. They walked away with a 74-64 victory over the Cedar Shoals Jaguars on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warhawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

McDonough's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zion Greene, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 19 points and four steals. Greene's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Zaiden Greene, who went 5-for-12 en route to 17 points and five steals.

McDonough's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Cedar Shoals, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-13.

McDonough has already played their next matchup, a 78-70 victory against Southwest DeKalb on the 22nd. Cedar Shoals does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
