Springstead won against Academy of the Holy Names on Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Eagles didn't even let the Citrus Hurricanes on the board, marking the Eagles' second-straight 4-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Alivia Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Whitacre, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Springstead's record is now 13-1. As for Citrus, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Springstead will head out to face off against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Citrus, they will venture away from home to square off against South Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
