Football Recap: Rancho Bernardo Broncos vs. Granite Hills Eagles
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Rancho Bernardo couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They had to suffer through a 56-7 loss at the hands of the Granite Hills Eagles. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Gaige Weddle threw for 105 yards on seven of 12 attempts. Trey Durham was his top target, picking up 79 receiving yards. On the ground, Max Marshall rushed for 68 yards.
Zachary Benitez had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground for Granite Hills. The dominant performance also gave Benitez a new career-high in passer rating (157.5).
