Baseball Game Preview: Delaware County Christian Knights vs. Renaissance Academy Knights

Delaware County Christian will face off against Renaissance Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Delaware County Christian couldn't beat Bristol on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Knights took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matteo DeBellis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Dixon, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Renaissance Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Bristol, falling 16-0.

Delaware County Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-7. As for Renaissance Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Delaware County Christian's way against Renaissance Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Delaware County Christian made off with an 18-0 victory.
