Manti posted their closest win since November 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Juab Wasps 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Templars in their matchups with the Wasps: they've now won eight in a row.

Manti took Juab into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 15-9.

Addison Howell paced Manti's offense, picking up 16 kills. Howell got some help from Ally Lara and her 16 assists. Howell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kenzie Distefano, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Juab saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Skylee Olsen had 11 digs and two aces. Aspen Thompson was another key player, getting ten assists and eight digs.

Manti's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Juab, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Manti didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against North Sevier on the 21st. As for Juab, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Juan Diego Catholic on the 21st.
