Volleyball Recap: Faith Lutheran Takes Down Ranked Shadow Ridge + How To Watch

Faith Lutheran faced Shadow Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Faith Lutheran not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Shadow Ridge between 15 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-16.

Faith Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariah Mauga, who had 18 assists and 11 digs. That's the most digs Mauga has posted over her last nine matches. K Sawyer was another key player, getting 19 assists and ten digs.

Faith Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shadow Ridge only served two.

Faith Lutheran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-14 record this season. As for Shadow Ridge, they dropped their record down to 20-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
