Volleyball Recap: Island Coast Comes Up Short

Island Coast lost against Mariner on September 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gators lost 3-0 to the Tritons.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-15.

Mariner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Giana DeCarolis out in front who had five kills, five aces, and three digs. That's the most aces DeCarolis has posted since back in August. Aleigha Colley was another key player, getting ten digs.

Island Coast's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mariner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Island Coast will square off against Ida Baker at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mariner, they will face off against Lehigh at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
